Privacy Policy
Flipora (“we”, “us” or “our”) operates the marketplace at flipora.net (the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information when you use Flipora as a seller, buyer or visitor. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. Name, email address and password hash when you create an account. Social sign-in (Google) provides us with your name, email and profile picture only if you choose to use it.
- Seller and listing details. Business description, financials, screenshots, domain records, asking price and any other content you add to a listing.
- Verification material. Documents or screenshots you upload to prove ownership of a domain or asset, and any messages you exchange with our review team.
- Inquiries and messages. Content of buyer-seller messages sent through the Platform.
- Payment information. We do not store card numbers or bank account details. Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe may share your payment status, billing address and transaction history with us so we can manage your subscription, Build Kit purchase or promotion add-on.
- Usage and device data. IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URL and interaction events. We use this to improve the Platform, detect abuse and generate listing analytics for sellers.
2. How we use your information
- Provide, operate and improve the Platform and your account.
- Publish listings, process inquiries and display seller analytics.
- Verify ownership and review listings before they go live.
- Process subscriptions and one-time purchases through our payment provider.
- Send service emails, updates and responses to your support requests.
- Prevent fraud, spam, misuse and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Legal basis for processing
Where applicable data protection laws require a legal basis, we process personal information: (a) to perform our contract with you; (b) based on our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Platform; (c) with your consent, for specific purposes such as marketing emails; and (d) to comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers. Stripe for payments, hosting and analytics providers, email delivery services, and authentication services bound by confidentiality.
- Other users. Listing content and seller profile information are visible to buyers and visitors as part of the marketplace. Messages you send to a buyer or seller are visible to that party.
- Legal and safety. Courts, regulators or law enforcement when required by law or to protect rights, safety or property.
- Business transfers. A successor entity in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, under confidentiality obligations.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Listing data, messages and transaction records may be retained for legal, tax or dispute-resolution purposes even after account closure. You can request deletion by contacting us; we will delete or anonymize data unless we are required to keep it.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, access controls, hashed passwords and regular review of service providers. No online service is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong password and keep your account credentials private.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your personal information, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, or to update your account details, contact us at fliporasupport@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
8. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, understand usage and prevent abuse. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some features of the Platform.
9. Children's privacy
Flipora is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. International transfers
Your information may be stored and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect personal information transferred across borders.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of the page. Material changes will be announced through the Platform or by email. Continued use of Flipora after changes means you accept the updated policy.
